What is DirectoryIsrael?

This question is not actually that frequently asked, but we'll answer it anyway. DirectoryIsrael is a free and simple tool than enables English speakers to find businesses and other services in Israel.

How do I add my business to DI?

You can add your business or service easily by clicking here. You'll need to sign up, but don't worry, we keep your information 100% private and will only contact you if it is directly connected to your entry. Read our "steps to adding and editing entries" here.

Why do I need to sign up, are you going to charge me money?

Signing up is 100% FREE. We require that you sign up so that we can contact you to confirm you are who you say you are. We will also contact you if your entry needs to be updates, edited or removed. You're information will be kept 100% private. We will contact you once a year to confirm that your information is still up to date.

Who can add an entry?

Anyone. We will do our best to make sure all the information submitted is correct and up to date, but we take no responsibility for it. It will be up to you, the entry owner, to keep your information up to date and accurate. We will allow users to submit feedback on all entries to help us all out.

Can I pay to have my entry featured?

No, at least not at this time. The directory lists everything in alphabetical order. So if you sell aardvarks, you're in luck. We apologize to all xylophone salesmen.

What are examples of things that will get my entry deleted?

Not much, but we are strict with our guidelines. We do not allow anything your grandmother would disapprove us, such as adult services, drug dealing, human trafficking, assassins, missionaries, etc. We also do not allow double-posting, deceptive or misleading information, personals, classifieds, job listings or events. We also encourage you to check your spelling, but you we don't really know how to spell either, so don't worry about it.

Are there any plans for the future?

Yes, we're so glad you asked! We plan on adding a Gemach section. We would also like to feature various charities each month. We would also like to build an smartphone app.We are working on integrating Google Maps. (We've integrated GoogleMaps!) We are also open to suggestions.
